Birth Centers
Our billing services cater to birth centers and home birth midwives nationwide. This experience gives us unique insight into the billing landscape, allowing us to identify what strategies are successful and which are not. Our high transaction volume enables us to spot trends that in-house billers often miss. We can secure payments where others might fail, and at a fraction of the cost of hiring an in-house biller.

Our Process in a Nutshell
Sign up with EarthSide Billing, Inc. You’ll sign a contract that allows us to access your electronic health records, streamlining the entire billing process.
We make sure midwives are officially recognized by and credentialed with the insurance companies. Insurance companies rely on the credentialing information to match what they have on file in order to process claims.
Once you've identified patients interested in exploring insurance reimbursement, please direct them to our website. Our team will then handle all the necessary steps directly with them.
Before we provide any billing services, patients will need to submit a request for a Verification of Benefits (VOB). This allows us to set clear expectations and determine the most appropriate course of action. We will communicate all findings with the patient before beginning the billing process.
If the patient wants to move forward with our services, we’ll discuss the cost structure and next steps.
Once we receive the necessary information, we will begin working on the patient's behalf. Our first step will be to apply for a GAP exception so that their claims can be processed as in-network. If obtaining a GAP exception is not possible, claims will process at the out-of-network level.
Please be assured that all submitted claims are diligently tracked. In the event a claim is incorrectly denied, we will pursue all available avenues to appeal the decision. Our team is committed to maximizing reimbursement and will continue working on claims until they are fully processed.
*Please note: Each claim requires careful review and thorough investigation. While we strive to respond to your inquiries as promptly as possible, this process may take a few business days. We appreciate your patience and will provide a response as soon as we can.

We’re Here to Guide You & Your Patients
I'd like to highlight the benefits of partnering with us. Our team possesses extensive knowledge of the billing process and will strive to manage it comprehensively on behalf of your patients. However, insurance companies often require policyholders to participate in certain aspects of the process. Please note that while reimbursement timelines can vary, billing is typically complete by the time the baby is three months old.
